Kigali International Championship 2026
In an exciting collaboration between FTPR Lions Academy and Next Generation Uganda, preparations are underway for the inaugural Kigali International Championship, a youth football tournament set to bring together rising talent from across the African continent.
The championship will officially take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from 17th to 19th December 2026, and is expected to become one of the most competitive and inspiring youth football events in the region.

The Kigali International Championship is designed to provide young footballers with a unique opportunity to compete at a high level while experiencing international football culture and development standards.
The tournament will feature elite football academies from five different countries, creating a diverse and competitive environment that promotes both sporting excellence and cultural exchange.
Participating age categories will include:
U8 (Under 8)
U10 (Under 10)
U12 (Under 12)
U13 (Under 13)
U15 (Under 15)
This structure ensures that players across key developmental stages are given the chance to showcase their talent and grow through meaningful competition.
